Allow me to introduce you to the Clean Fifteen.
Why do I ask? There are non-organic foods that require lower levels of convention pesticides than others. These are safe(er) to ingest when not organic, saving you money. (Huzzah!)
Have you heard of the Clean Fifteen? Like the Dirty Dozen, if you prefer to eat organic you’ll want to familiarize yourself with the list below, and the one in this post.
Please note: Both lists are updated annually.
The Environmental Working Group (non-partisan, not-for-profit) has named these lovely fruits and veggies as safe(er), even though they are conventionally grown.
(You can thank their thick skins for the extra change in your wallet.)
